We always prefer to save teeth with limited bone support to use them as a last resort to make a strong retention for lower partial denture, in this case called: overdenture. There is nothing, but natural teeth, that can be used best for this purpose. Even though implants can make a better support for the overdenture mechanically, the ligament between bone and natural teeth contains nerves that give the body an irreplaceable control over direction and force of chewing pressure.
We make overdentures for more, than 20 years and many our patients successfully
use them for many years, some more than 20.
